Fair Use Policy | CodingZap

Our Commitment to Responsible Learning

At CodingZap, we exist to help students understand programming — not to complete academic work on their behalf. This Fair Use Policy explains how our services are intended to be used, and what we expect from every student who works with us.

By using CodingZap, you agree to the terms outlined on this page.

What CodingZap Provides

CodingZap provides programming tutoring, concept explanations, guided debugging support, code walkthroughs, and structured reference material. Our role is to help students understand logic, identify errors, and build genuine competence in programming.

Specifically, our services include:

  • One-on-one tutoring sessions with verified programming experts
  • Step-by-step explanations of concepts, algorithms, and code structure
  • Guided debugging and error analysis
  • Reference solutions intended to demonstrate correct implementation
  • Project guidance and coursework support within academic boundaries

Everything we provide is designed to build understanding. Our tutors focus on explaining why code works, not just what to write.

How to Use Our Services Responsibly

Students are responsible for ensuring their use of CodingZap aligns with their institution’s academic integrity policies. We recommend the following approach:

  • Use our explanations and reference material to understand concepts
  • Study the logic behind the code we walk you through
  • Produce your own independent work based on what you have learned
  • Ask follow-up questions until you genuinely understand the implementation
  • Treat our guidance the same way you would treat help from a tutor or study group

If you are unsure whether a particular use of our services is permitted by your institution, check your university’s academic integrity policy before proceeding.

What Our Services Are Not For

CodingZap’s tutoring and reference support is not intended for:

  • Direct submission of reference solutions as original academic work
  • Bypassing your institution’s academic integrity requirements
  • Live examinations, timed quizzes, or invigilated assessments
  • Any activity that violates your university’s code of conduct

Students who misuse our services in ways that violate their institution’s policies do so at their own risk. CodingZap is not responsible for academic consequences arising from misuse of our platform.

Our Academic Integrity Standards

CodingZap takes academic integrity seriously. We operate within clearly defined boundaries and expect students to do the same.

Our tutors are instructed to:

  • Focus on explanation and understanding rather than answer delivery
  • Decline requests that appear designed to bypass academic assessment
  • Guide students through logic rather than simply providing completed solutions

We do not assist with live examinations, timed tests, or any assessment where external help is explicitly prohibited.

Our full Academic Integrity Policy is available at codingzap.com/academic-integrity.
